Description

“The market has been glutted; and the boom in letters must be over”

ALS signed “G. Bernard Shaw,” on a 3.25 x 5.25 photo postcard of Shaw, June 26, 1930. Letter to Mrs. Pakenham Beatty. In part: “G. W.’s London address is 14 Pall Mall…his American address is 145 West 57th St. New York City. R. S.…is an agent, not a dealer. But the market has been glutted; and the boom in letters must be over. G. W. I know, is suspected. However, one can always try. I shall be as pleased as you if anything comes of it.” In fine condition, with mild toning to correspondence side and some light silvering to image side. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
