Ford.” Broadside is removably encapsulated in acid-free Mylar. In very fine condition. At 12:03 p.m. on August 9, 1974, just a half hour after President Nixon’s resignation was made official, Ford took the oath of office in the East Room of the White House, becoming the first president to ever assume the position without being elected.
