Stunning oversized vintage matte-finish 10.75 x 13.75 Hurrell portrait of Harlow bathed in soft light, her hands tucked into her collar, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To—The two Dearest ones I have—I love you more than my life. Jean.” Scattered edge creases and small dings, as well as one small tear to lower right, and some mild silvering to darker areas of background, visible only at an angle, otherwise fine condition. Photo originates from the estate of the man credited with discovering Harlow, Arthur Landau. Landau first laid eyes on harlow as she drank from a water cooler at a studio in Culver City. Although physically stunning, it was her amazingly blonde hair that told Landau she would be a star.
