Full hand-addressed free frank, measuring 12 x 8 unfolded, with panel measuring 6 x 3.5, addressed by Tyler to, “Mr. Ewell, President & Professor of Wm & Mary, Williamsburg,” and franked in the upper right, “J. Tyler.” A return address and notation have been added in another hand to the left side. Frank retains its red wax seal. In fine condition, with paper loss to top edge from wax seal, a couple of small fold separations, and some scattered light toning. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
