Description

“I am not going to be deprived of the privilege of saying ‘Happy Birthday’”

TLS as president, one page, 7 x 9, White House letterhead, June 23, 1952. Letter to Secretary of the Treasury John W. Snyder. In full: “Although I couldn’t reach you Saturday, I am not going to be deprived of the privilege of saying ‘Happy Birthday’ to you—hence this belated note. I hope you enjoyed your birthday as much as I always do mine. They do have a way of coming around too often, but I think you and I have both learned how to take them in our stride. Congratulations and all good wishes for the year ahead.” In fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
