V.) on or about the 25th inst and will let you know definitely. Don’t tell it to anybody, for a work must be devoted to sobriety & ? & I shall see none but you you. Then for a…which must last till sailing—April 9. Don’t forget to inquire send to Carnac, it must be seen keep weather eye on…to contradict him or he will let out. We will discuss F. R. S. when I return. It was a failure last time & wants canvassing which is a ‘bane.’ Sir Roderick told me that I had no chance against Capt Makenry who had make a sketch survey of a Chinese Ruin!
