Description

Paul Kossoff

Guitarist for Free (1950–1976), best known for their song ‘All Right Now,’ Kossoff ranked 51st on Rolling Stone’s list of best guitarists of all time. The musician was only 25 when he died, succumbing to drug-related heart problems on a flight from LA to NY. Scarce ballpoint signature, “Paul Kossoff,” on the reverse of an off-white 5.25 x 8.5 sheet of Be-Bop Deluxe stationery. In fine condition, with a central horizontal fold and an authentication label affixed to lower left corner. The consignor notes that this was signed during the last year of his life, in 1976 at a party hosted by the English rock group The Pretty Things. This very well could be one of the last items Kossoff signed and is only the second we have offered in over 30 years. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RR Auction COA.
