In part: “Your prompt and patriotic response to the Navy’s call for glasses is greatly appreciated…at the present time your Binocular cannot be used and is therefore being returned.” In fine condition, with the lower mailing fold passing through the signature, a subtle block of toning to the left side, and a tack hole to the bottom.
