Prolific silent era French film director (1873–1925) best known for his serials Fantomas, Les Vampires, and Judex. ALS in French, signed “L. Feuillade,” one page both sides, 8.25 x 10.5, Montpellier, August 6, 1918. Letter to actor Georges Wague. Untranslated letter in which Feuillade writes that he is very occupied with finishing some episodes, but will soon begin working on a propaganda film entitled “Vendemiaire,” which is to be shot equally in Montpellier and Nice, where he finds the light ideal for his films. He goes on to discuss Leon Gaumont’s theater which may be reopened. In fine condition, with central vertical and horizontal folds, overall toning, and two punch holes to the left border. A letter with fascinating film-related content. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
