Popular songwriters contract between Presley and his own company, Elvis Presley Music, Inc., assigning the publishing rights to “a certain heretofore unpublished original musical composition…entitled ‘Farther Along’ (Arranged by: Elvis Presley)” to the company. In fine condition. The lyrics to ‘Farther Along’ were written in 1911 and it quickly grew in popularity. It has been covered by numerous artists including Pete Seeger, Roy Acuff, Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke, and Mississippi John Hurt. A rare document directly concerning one of Presley’s songs.
