Beautifully rebound by London’s Chelsea Bindery in red morocco leather with gilt titles and decoration along spine and borders, five raised bands along spine, marbled endpapers, and a gilted upper textblock edge. Two mild scuffs to rear cover and expected wear to deckled edges, otherwise NF condition. Due to the book’s explicit content, Lawrence had to have it privately printed in Florence; an uncensored version could not be openly published in the United Kingdom until 1960.
