Document confirming Samuel Barrett as “a justice of the peace & notary public within and for the County of Suffolk in the said Commonwealth.” Signed in the upper left by Adams as governor, below the affixed paper seal and ribbon. Beautifully suede-matted and framed with a portrait and biographical plaque to an overall size of 26.5 x 23. In fine condition, with chipping and soiling to edges.
