Hand-colored vintage matte-finish 8 x 9.75 full-length portrait of Hoover leaning against a fence, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen, “To R. E. Berry, With best wishes, J. Edgar Hoover, 2/2/37.” The back of the photo has a rubber stamp from the name of the hotel and photographer in Miami Beach where the photo was taken. Scattered adhesive and mounting remnants to borders, and a few light creases, otherwise fine condition. This is the only signed color Hoover 8 x 10 of this era that we have ever come across.
