TLS as president, one page, 6.25 x 9, White House letterhead, July 29, 1967. Letter to Ward Quaal at WGN in Chicago. In full: “I was impressed and encouraged by the clippings you sent me and the story of all that your Walter Phillips is doing to help advance the cause of freedom and peace. I know the men who bear the burden of our commitment in Vietnam must share my appreciation and gratitude.” Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 12 x 15.
