Lyricist (1896–1981) who wrote the lyrics to the standards, ‘Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?,’ ‘April in Paris,’ and ‘It's Only a Paper Moon’ as well as all of the songs in The Wizard of Oz. Matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Harburg sitting outdoors, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint “Who is Sylvia? What is she that songsters all adore her—from Shakespeare down to Yours fondly, E. Y. Harburg.” In fine condition, with a few dings and light surface peeling to left edge, and Harburg tracing over his inscription. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
