McKinley appoints Alexis Holcomb Freeman as “First Lieutenant Co. ‘K’ of the Eighth Regiment Infantry, Ohio National Guard.” Signed at the conclusion by McKinley as governor of Ohio. Document bears a complete gold foil State of Ohio seal affixed to the lower left. Matted to an overall size of 16 x 20.
