Original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite bust portrait of Davis as president of the Confederacy, by C. R. Rees & Bro. of Richmond, Virginia, boldly signed at the bottom of the image in black ink, “Jeffer. Davis.” In fine condition, a few trivial surface spots and mild silvering to dark areas of the image.
