Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi

Eminent French sculptor (1834–1904) best known for designing the Statue of Liberty. Untranslated ALS in French, signed “Bartholdi,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.25 x 7, black-bordered stationery, May 17, 1893. Untranslated letter to a gentleman. Central vertical and horizontal folds, a uniform shade of toning, and light erased pencil notation to the upper left, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
