Actor (1901–1983) who played the imperious Lord Byron in Bride of Frankenstein. ALS signed “Gavin Gordon,” one page, 8.5 x 11, December 20, 1947. Letter to an admirer. In full: “I am enclosing the biographical sketch, but am ashamed to say that I have so carelessly handed out photographs to kids in summer companies and during one brief engagement in the Gentlemen from Athens that I haven’t a single one left—some of these days, I shall be having another sitting & shall keep your letter to send one to you.” In fine condition, with light intersecting folds and a crease and staple hole to the upper left corner.
