LBJ revels in lending a hand to America’s favorite pastime: “I hope that any time I can properly be of assistance that you feel free to call upon me”

Brief TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, United States Senate letterhead, September 16, 1958. Johnson writes to George Trautman of the National Association of Baseball Leagues, in full: “Thank you very much for your courtesy in sending me a copy of the News Release. It was a pleasure to be helpful in this situation and I hope that any time I can properly be of assistance that you feel free to call upon me.” In fine condition, with light creasing and a stamp marking the date the letter was received.
