Payment document reads, in part: “I promise to pay to Josiah Bartlett or his order two pounds fifteen shillings & six pence lawful money on Demand.” In very good condition, with partial separations along three vertical folds, two through single letters of signature, scattered edge wear, and a uniform shade of toning.
