Though her death from carbon monoxide poisoning was ruled an accident, suspicious circumstances led to a number of theories of varying plausibility, including speculation that she was the victim of a ‘hit’ ordered by gangster ‘Lucky’ Luciano. Stunning vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Mignon, With sincerest wishes, Thelma Todd, ‘28.” Scattered light creasing and surface marks, a small tear to the right edge, and small tack holes to the corners, otherwise fine condition.
