Army discharge for a Ranger who was “a member of my company in the Spring Campaign of 1836 was in the Battle of San Jacinto”

Manuscript DS, signed “Edward Burleson, then Col. Comdt 1st Regmt Gallen,” one page, 7.5 x 4.25, no date. Discharge, written in the hand of Captain William Neill reads, in full: “This is to certify that Moses H. Davis was a member of my company in the Spring Campaign of 1836 was in the Battle of San Jacinto on the 21st of April and receive an honorable discharge for the same.” Signed at the conclusion, “William W. Hill, Capt., Company H 1st Regt, TM,” with Burleson’s signature and rank underneath. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, a couple lightly affecting signature, a few tiny fold separations, and scattered moderate irregular toning.
