In full: “I enclose you $1.25 which according to your statement is the amount of my dues to date. Please express to the Camp my deep regret that I am compelled to be in Giddings to-morrow at ten o’clock, and to be in Harwood the day following. Hence it will be impossible for me to be preset [sic] at your meeting.
