Fillmore.” Accompanied by an LS written and signed by a family member, one page, 7.75 x 9.5, March 3, 1853. In part: “My sister desires me to say that her Harp Music Stand, & a large oil painting, will be sent to day by Express to your care at Buffalo. She tells me that she had written in regard to them before to Mrs. Burwell. We are very busy now getting out of the house. We shall take rooms tomorrow at Willards.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 13.5 x 19.75. The items are framed so that they are visible from both front and back. Intersecting horizontal and vertical folds crossing the text with a vertical fold crossing the middle of his last name, scattering soiling and foxing, and show-through from writing on opposing sides, otherwise fine condition.
