ALS in pencil, signed “HM,” on a 5.25 x 3.5 picture postcard of Tahiti, February 4, 1930. Postcard to Monsieur Thorndike in Nice. In full (translated): “There is a local place here where they serve tea and play the Tango, and where you see girls with short skirts and boyish haircuts. But they have preserved the coconut trees!” A couple creases, scattered mild toning, soiling, and foxing, and postal cancellations near body of text, otherwise fine condition.
