TLS as president signed “D. E.,” one page, 6.5 x 9, White House letterhead, June 1, 1955. Letter to Charles Hook, on the Commission on Organization of the executive Branch of the Government. In full: “Thank you for your note regarding the Postal Pay Bill veto. I am hopeful that Congress will quickly pass a substitute bill giving not only an adequate raise to the loyal post office employees, but providing for certain other changes in the system that are essential.” In fine condition, with a typed collector’s notation along bottom.
