Signed book: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Later printing. NY: Harper and Brothers, 1904. Hardcover, 5.5 x 8, 385 pages. Signed and inscribed on the inside front cover, “To Katherine Brooks, with best compliments of the Author. Do not put off till to-morrow what can be done day after to-morrow just as well. Truly yours, Mark Twain. Oct. 25/05.” In good to very good condition, with block of toning and pencil notation to inside front cover, separated first free end page and front hinge, light toning to fore-edges, light wear and rubbing to covers, moderate sunning to spine, and a fragile spine and binding. The book’s physical flaws do not detract from the boldly penned and witty quote one might expect from Clemens. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
