Rare TLS as president signed “Uncle Ike,” one page, 6.75 x 9, White House letterhead, October 15, 1960. President Eisenhower writes his cousin, Lowell and Marge Eisenhower in Los Angeles. In full: “Thank you so much for the delightful little cartoon done by Mr. Jaimes that you sent to me to mark my seventieth birthday anniversary. I appreciate, too, your nice accompanying note. Won’t you please give Mr. James my compliments?” A few wrinkles and strips of adhesive residue along the periphery, heavier along the left side, otherwise fine condition.
