Author, suffragette, dramatist, poet, and biographer (1819–1910), best remembered as the lyricist of ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic.’ Desirable AQS on a heavy cream 5 x 3.25 card, signed “Julia Ward Howe, May 1896.” The first line from “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” In full: “Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.” A couple very faint trivial smudges and mounting traces to reverse, otherwise fine, bright condition.
