Tragic jazz great whose intimate playing style established him as a great talent until his drug-related death in 1988. Broken Wing album signed on the front cover in blue felt tip, “Chet Baker —86—.” In fine condition, with a couple of tiny edge creases and a small crease on the back cover. The record is included. An intense cover image of the great musician.
Recorded by Baker in 1979, many critics applauded Baker’s performance as well as the backing musicians—Phil Markowitz, Jean-Francois Jenny-Clark, and Jeff Brillinger—who added a more traditional piano, bass and drums to Baker’s vocals and trumpet. Two years after neatly signing this album, Baker perished in a fall in The Netherlands. A nicely signed example of one of the jazz great’s well-received albums.
