First baseman for the 1919 Chicago White Sox (1888–1970), later banned from baseball for being involved in the scandal of throwing the World Series to Cincinnati. Scarce vintage ballpoint signature, “Chic. A. Gandil,” on an off-white 5 x 3 card with typed collector’s notations to card. In fine condition, with some light spreading of ink to signature resulting in a slightly fuzzy appearance. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
