Description

Early McKinley prosecution document for "Keeping Rooms of Public Resort for the Sale of Intoxicating Liquors"

DS as Prosecuting Attorney for the County of Stark and State of Ohio, one page, both sides, signed on a folded 8 x 3.5 panel, May 31, 1870. A bill of indictment made out to Peter Everheart “For Keeping Rooms of Public Resort for the Sale of Intoxicating Liquors.” Also signed again at the bottom of the unfolded page, which is presented nicely along with docket. Suede matted and framed with a cabinet photo portrait as President to an overall size of 15 x 12. In fine condition, with expected document wear. Documents from McKinley’s legal career are not often seen, and this one has particularly interesting content. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
