Character actor (1905–1979) whose roles included two appearances as detective Ellery Queen, but was best known for his role as Detective Martin Kane in the 1949-51 radio-television series, Martin Kane, Private Eye. Dapper vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Sincerely, William Gargan.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s ink date notation of October 1934, the date the signature was acquired. In fine condition, with some faint surface impressions and a crease to lower right corner tip. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
