Actress (1884–1970) best remembered for her role as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North in The Wizard of Oz. Vintage pearl-finish 8 x 10 double weight MGM publicity photo of Burke on a staircase for the film Forsaking All Others, credited to Tanner, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “Billie Burke to Saul.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of April 12, 1938, the date the signature was acquired. Reverse also bears an affixed promotional caption stating this is “her greatest role since ‘Dinner At Eight.’” In fine condition, with a couple slight bends from caption affixed on reverse.
