American actress (1879–1959) from the famous Barrymore clan whose performance in None but the Lonely Heart earned her the 1944 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 publicity photo of Barrymore in a lace dress and pearls, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Ethel Barrymore.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of January 16, 1935, the date the signature was acquired.
