Vintage glossy 8 x 10 RKO Pictures publicity photo from 1935 of Astaire in a white tie and top hat, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Sincerely, Fred Astaire.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of August 17, 1935, the date the signature was acquired. Astaire’s most famous dance film, Top Hat, would open two weeks later at Radio City Music Hall. In fine condition, with a few scattered light surface scratches and impressions. Signed photos of Astaire during his prime are uncommon. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
