I am treating my dear and honored old native town badly. I will send to my photographer and have him send me a photo of the best picture I have, and that will be the nearest like me in the memory of the home, and towns people who know and remember me. I send you by tomorrow's mail a package of booklets that you may or may not have on your shelves. I hope some time to have something larger to send you. Believe me, Mr. Jerlin, I warmly appreciate the considerate honor of your request, and return to you, and the esteemed body of Trustees my sincere thanks."
