Slight, sad-looking character actor (1935–1978) best known for his screen debut as Fredo, the weak-willed son of Don Corleone, in Francis Ford Coppola's classic The Godfather. Cazale holds a singular distinction in the annals of Hollywood history: All six films in which he appeared (including an archival appearance in The Godfather, Part III) were nominated for Best Picture. Vintage ink signature and inscription, "To Emil-Warmest regards from John Cazale, April 29, 1977," on a light green 4.5 x 2.75 slip. In fine condition. Just one of a scant handful we have seen.
