TLS signed "W. Churchill," one page, 4.5 x 7, Chartwell, Westerham, Kent letterhead, October 10, 1947. Short letter of thanks to politician and Parliament member Sir Herbert Williams. In full, "Thank you for your letter of October 6, and for our offer to send me a copy of the book on Bulk Purchase. I look forward to receiving this." Signed at the conclusion by Churchill, who has also added a closing sentiment and greeting in his own hand. Double matted and framed with a photo of Churchill in his military uniform to an overall size of 16.5 x 13. In fine condition, with a bit of light wrinkling and erased pencil remnants along top edge. Williams wrote several books on parliamentary matters, no doubt including the book mentioned by Churchill. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
