Hand-addressed free franked envelope panel, 5.25 x 2.5, addressed in Van Buren's hand to "M. Van Buren, Esq., Nassau Street, New York," and franked in the upper right, "Free M. Van Buren." Panel bears a January 19, Kinderhook, New York, postmark. A small note in the lower left reads, "With the compts of J.V.B." Panel is affixed to an identical size card. A vertical fold through a single letter of franking signature, missing top left corner tip, and scattered light soiling, otherwise fine condition. An interesting cover bearing two Van Buren signatures. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
