Description

A 1932 autobiographical account of Darrow's legendary life

Brilliant defense attorney (1857–1938) noted for his role in the Scopes 'Monkey' Trial and the Leopold-Loeb thrill-killing case. Signed book: The Story of My Life. Unnumbered limited edition. NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1932. Hardcover, 6.75 x 9.75, 465 pages. Signed on the limitations page (the number of which has not been filled out) in fountain pen. In very good condition, with staining to the front and back pastedowns, a gift inscription on the first free end page, and mild staining and soiling to the front and back boards and spine, and partial separation to front hinge. A beautifully signed example, made more intriguing by the lack of limitations numbering. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
