Important 19th century French painter (1832–1883) whose works, including such well-known images as ‘Luncheon on the Grass’ and ‘Olympia,’ were a seminal influence on the impressionists of the succeeding generation. DS, in French, twice signed, 'E. Manet' at the conclusion and again within the text, one page, 4.5 x 6.25, no date. In full (translated): 'Gallery 7 Salon of Decorative arts. Manet (Edouard). 4 Decorative Wood Panels. 1 decoration above a doorway.' In fine condition, with several spots of toning. Accompanied by an unsigned photo. Wonderful decorative content.
