A 1929 cover from the part Earhart played in amphibian flight across Lake Erie

Commemorative cover with a stamped cachet honoring the first amphibian flight from Cleveland to Detroit over Lake Erie on May 14, 1929, and stamped above "Amelia Earhart, Special Pilot," signed in fountain pen by Earhart. Cover also bears a pre-paid air shipment label affixed to reverse, stamp-dated May 14, 1929, with a 1929 National Air Races and Aeronautical Exposition stamp to left side of label. Uniform block of toning to front from previous display, typed address faded, and some scattered light soiling and ripples, otherwise fine condition. A unique flight cover from the aviatrix, commemorating the only flight she flew as an official contract air mail route. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
