Description

War-hero-turned-Hollywood star

American soldier and actor (1924–1971) whose heroism during World War II earned him the Medal of Honor. After the war, Murphy parlayed his popularity, small-town charm, and baby-faced good looks into a respectable film career, appearing in a string of westerns and war dramas. He died in a plane crash at the age of 46. Vintage matte-finish 7.25 x 9.25 publicity photo of Murphy in a suit and tie, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Brent-Garvin & Terry, With all good wishes. Sincerely, Audie Murphy.” In fine condition, with lightly trimmed edges, a couple light bends, and a crease to top right corner. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
