Incredible and practically impossible-to-find vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Burke as Glinda the Good Witch, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Thelma: ‘May your dearest wish come true,’ Billie Burke, Glinda in the Wizard of Oz.” A few light bends and corner tip creases, some light soiling primarily to lower border, and a faint paperclip impression to top edge, otherwise fine condition.
Although Burke lived to be 85 years old and was considered a prolific signer, signed photos of Glinda are curiously almost as mythical as the land of Oz.
