American actor (1903–1960) who appeared in seven of the AFI’s list of the 100 Greatest American Movies: It Happened One Night, Bringing Up Baby, Gone With the Wind, The Grapes of Wrath, The Maltese Falcon, It’s a Wonderful Life, and The Searchers. In the mid-1950s he attained his greatest fame as star of TV’s Wagon Train. Vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “For the Hoaglins, My best, Ward Bond.” In fine condition, with a couple of light background creases, as well as a few mild ripples, not affecting overall appearance.
