The life-saving scientist who discovered penicillin

Scottish bacteriologist (1881–1955) who shared the 1945 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his role in the discovery and isolation of penicillin. Vintage 4.25 x 6.25 matte-finish portrait of Fleming looking thoughtfully off to the side, signed “Alexander Fleming” in black fountain pen. Several light spots touching Fleming’s hair and somewhat grainy image quality, otherwise fine condition. Provenance: The Barry Hoffman Collection. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
