Rare signature of the first third baseman elected to the Hall of Fame

Baseball player (1870-1943) at the turn of the 20th century who was widely regarded as being the best third baseman of his time. Rare vintage fountain pen signature, “Sincerely yours, Jimmy Collins, 300 Crestwood Ave, Buffalo, N.Y.,” on an off-white 4 x 3 slip clipped from the closing of a letter and affixed to a 4.5 x 3.25 light gray card. In very good condition, with a vertical crease to left side, missing top left corner tip, and scattered light toning and wrinkling. Scarce in any form.
