Character actor remembered best for his horror roles, especially the effeminate mad scientist Dr. Praetorius in The Bride of Frankenstein. Rare ALS, one page, 5.5 x 7, personal letterhead, no date. In part: “I should be honored to be a member of the Ellen Terry Fellowship if Jon will let me know when where to send my guinea—(he’s afraid it won’t be more).” Thesiger adds a humorous postscript: “Why should anyone be afraid of me?” In fine condition, with a few light creases.
